Patricia Trujillo

Patricia Trujillo (Barcelona, 1975) is a young painter who attracts her works from the beginning. These, both in the theme of urban landscapes and urban scenes, are born of darkness and, with great psychic tension, have the virtue of explaining the achievement of light.

Waiting in Manhattan

About This Project

Oil on canvas · 81 x 116 cm · 2026

This new oil painting captures a quiet moment inside a New York hotel overlooking the iconic Manhattan skyline. Two women wait in the lobby, suspended between departure and arrival, perhaps expecting a visitor, a reunion, or the beginning of an unknown story. In the distance, a hotel bellhop completes the scene, adding a subtle narrative tension.

I am fascinated by these fleeting moments of anticipation, where time seems to slow down and every gesture becomes meaningful. The contrast between the intimacy of the interior and the vastness of Manhattan beyond the windows creates a dialogue between personal experience and the energy of the city.
